Hair for Ballet

Neatly secured hair is an important part of ballet etiquette at SBA. Keeping hair off the face allows dancers to focus, move freely and maintain the clean lines essential to classical ballet.

Preparing your child’s hair before class also helps students transition from school and other activities into the studio, encouraging a sense of readiness, focus and most importantly makes them feel like a real ballerina.

We encourage all families to take a moment to watch our hair tutorial and help their dancer arrive at class prepared and ready to enjoy the full benefits of their ballet training.
